Minnesota and North Dakota

We had a gorgeous day today as we left Minneapolis headed for North Dakota.  Our first stop was at Minnehaha Falls.  Minnehaha was an Indian maid who was a love interest of Hiawatha.

We checked out the mighty Mississippi River too.

Then we crossed into North Dakota and stopped in Fargo, well known for the movie and tv series.

If you watched the movie or tv series you know the significance of the wood chipper.

ND is also famous for buffalo so here’s a few!

We are in Bismark for the night so we checked out the state capital.

There’s lots of history here related to Lewis and Clark and to Sacajawea.

When we travel we love to find new and different places to eat.  We found this Irish Pub in downtown Bismark and it did not disappoint!

Beef and Barley Soup - so good!
