Trains and Cathedrals

We decided to make a day trip today and train travel is the way to go here in the UK.  The trains are clean, modern, comfortable and on time.  You can get just about anywhere by train to we left this morning from Bury St Edmunds and headed to Norwich for the day.

Countryside from the train

Norwich is a town in Norfolk County, the next county over from Lindsey’s county of Suffolk.  It is larger that Bury and has the most medieval churches of any town in England.  The Norwich Cathedral has the 2nd tallest spire in England.  These cathedrals and churches are unbelievable!  And they are very old - Norwich Cathedral since the 12th century and the Cathedral of St John the Baptist since the 1800s.

The above pictures are Norwich Cathedral and the ones below are the Cathedral of St John the Baptist.

There are lots of other interesting buildings and markets in Norwich and these are pictures from around town.

Colorful market stalls - about 100 with everything from food to clothes to flowers and everything in between.
