Not too far from Lindsey’s home in Bury St Edmunds is the charming town of Ely. It is home to a beautiful cathedral, charming restaurants and shops, and a river running through town. It is well worth a visit if you’re in the area!
As I wandered inside this amazing cathedral that dates back to the 600s, I am amazed trying to imagine how they built such huge, gorgeous buildings with the primitive tools of their day. Truly amazing!
The town is beautiful and the river and river walk are so nice.
We had lunch/afternoon tea at a lovely place - The Peacock Tea Room. The food was wonderful and service excellent!
