This morning we left Bury headed to the train station in Cambridge to catch the train to London. On the way we stopped in Newmarket for lunch, the horse racing capitol of England.
We took the train to London - 49 minutes - and arrived at our hotel, St James at Trafalgar Square - it’s lovely!
Our first adventure was the London Eye - a short walk from our hotel.
We headed to Harrods walking past The Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey.
We had dinner in the Dining Hall at Harrods, a unique and different experience and very good.
After dinner we bought some desserts from Harrods Patisserie and headed to Hyde Park to enjoy our goodies!
Then we slowly strolled back to our hotel through Hyde Park, Green Park, the Wellington Arch and past Buckingham Palace. It was a beautiful night and wonderful to be strolling the parks of London.
