Colorado Springs

 We so enjoyed our day today being back in beautiful Colorado Springs.  Lots of memories here.  We started the morning at Garden of the Gods, a favorite here.








Next up was a trip on the Cog Railway up to Pikes Peak.  It’s a beautiful ride on one of only two cog railways still in existence in the US.  We went from 65 degrees in Manitou Springs to 34 at the top with a wind chill of 9.

Katherine Bates was inspired to write America the Beautiful after visiting Pikes Peak.





Then we visited our lovely Air Force Academy!  The gorgeous chapel was undergoing renovation and was covered.  Such fun to be back here again.
