California and Nevada

 After a lovely breakfast at the Running Y Ranch we headed toward Lake Tahoe.  It was all pastures and cattle for quite a while.




We decided to stop in Reno briefly since we’ve never been.  The brief stop was plenty.





We enjoyed our stop in Carson City.  The state Capitol is there and a pack of mule deer actually are at home on the Capitol grounds!

We had a delightful dinner at Red’s Old 395 Grill.  Eat here!  The food was great and the decor delightful!









We arrived at Lake Tahoe just in time to enjoy some sunset views from Sunset Cove.  It’s a little hazy from the fires but still pretty.  And the water is crystal clear.





We arrived at our adorable cottage in Tahoe City on Lake Tahoe - The Cottage Inn.  What a lovely place.  So glad we’re here for a few days!
